Murray has been home to Brett for 37 years. He and his wife, Cindy, built their lives here, raising their five children who are proud graduates of the Murray School District, from their earliest days at Longview Elementary to their time at Murray High School.
A THRIVING CAREER
With over four decades of experience in business and finance, Brett brings quality experience. As a Vice President at Cyprus Credit Union, he managed key departments including human resources, marketing, collections, budgeting, and lending. His background combined with 10 years on City Council and 4 years as Mayor, provides a proven track record of effective leadership.

Brett's administration has helped build a strong foundation by investing in essential services that keep us safe and thriving, including our dedicated police and fire personnel. Through years of responsible care and collaborative leadership, we've built a strong foundation for Murray while keeping property taxes low and securing a strong budget surplus.
NATIONAL AWARD HONORS BRETT'S PUBLIC SERVICE
Brett's commitment to public service earned him national recognition on June 10, 2025. At American Public Power's National Conference in New Orleans, he received the distinguished Spence Vanderlinden Public Official Award, highlighting the level of leadership he brings to Murray.
